Filling out the GATE 2026 Online Application Form can be confusing for first-time applicants. Follow these steps carefully:
Go to the official portal 👉 https://gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
Click on “GATE 2026 Online Application (GOAPS)” link.
Click on “New User? Register Here”.
Enter Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Password.
Verify your email/mobile with OTP.
A unique Enrollment ID will be generated.
Login using Enrollment ID & Password.
Fill in personal details: Name, DOB, Gender, Category, Nationality, etc.
Fill in educational qualification details (degree, college, year).
Select GATE Paper and Exam City Preferences (up to 3).
Upload scanned copies of the following as per instructions:
Photograph (color photo, white background, 75% face visibility).
Signature (2×7 cm box, blue/black pen, clear scan).
Thumb Impression (3×5 cm box, left thumb, clear ink).
Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) if applicable.
PwD Certificate (if applicable).
Pay the fee online using Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Fee varies by category & phase (Normal or Late Fee period).
Save the payment receipt.
