🔍 Eligibility Criteria (02/2025 Batch)

1️⃣ Educational Qualification

• Candidate must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board.

• Minimum 50–60% aggregate marks (as per category/reservation norms).

2️⃣ Age Limit

• Candidate must be born between 01 September 2004 to 29 February 2008 (both dates inclusive).

• Minimum Age: 17½ years

• Maximum Age: 21 years

3️⃣ Marital Status & Nationality

• Only unmarried Indian citizens (male & female) are eligible.

• Marriage is not allowed during the 4-year Agniveer tenure.

4️⃣ Musical Proficiency

Candidates must possess musical ability and performance skills in any of the following:

🎵 Instrumental Skills:

• Proficiency in playing at least one instrument:
  e.g., Tabla, Flute, Violin, Harmonium, Guitar, Piano, etc. (Classical or Western).

📜 Certification & Experience:

• Indian Classical (Wind Instruments): Certificate from any recognized music institute.

• Western (Wind Instruments): Minimum Grade 2 from Trinity College of Music or Royal School of Music.

• Other Instruments: Performance/participation certificates in national/state-level music events.

📖 Additional Music Knowledge:

• Sight reading (Staff Notation/Indian Classical)

• Scales/Ragas/Taal

• Basic music theory understanding

• Ability to tune instruments

• Vocal ability (must be able to sing a complete song)

5️⃣ Physical Standards

🚶 Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

📏 Minimum Height:

• Both Genders: 157 cm

6️⃣ Medical Standards

• Must be medically fit as per Indian Navy standards.

• Includes vision check, general health, tattoo policy, etc.

🔎 Selection Process

1. Shortlisting – Based on 10th marks and musical background

2. Music Ability Test – Instrument performance, theory & sight reading

3. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

4. Medical Examination – As per Navy standards

5. Final Merit List – Based on overall performance
